Description
Coriander (ground)
Coriander is an ancient spice and is more than 8000 years old. Coriander originally comes from Asia but was quickly spread throughout the Mediterranean by the Romans. In the past, only the seeds were used for hearty dishes and even for gingerbread or liqueur. The Greeks used them to flavor their wine. Coriander tastes pleasantly spicy with a nutty aroma. Coriander is almost always used in curry powder and also in pastes. Coriander has a high content of essential oils, helps with disorders in the stomach and intestinal area and has a calming effect on the nerves. Coriander also strengthens the stomach. Fruits and leaves have completely different flavors and therefore cannot replace each other.
